today i woke up at 4 pm, the latest since the holiday started.
one piece of "Siu Mai" dropped on my left foot when i tried to got them heated from the fridge for late brunch. i got a bruise there for it.
on friday i had the first choir practice in MST, my secondary school, for the 30th Anniversary Variety Show. the choir team is made up of ex-choir members. the funny thing happened was that i "met" my brother there. can you imagine the feeling? although i invited him to join us, he didn't tell me he would be free for that evening. i met some other familiar faces there. though i might not have talked to all of them before, it was lovely to see them again. and now through the alumni practice we started talking and making friends with each other. isn't it great? i regret that i missed the very first choir practice the friday before. i miss the feeling to sing with bunch of people on the same stage.
i feel lucky that this 30th Anniversary of my mother school happened to be in my graduation holiday when things are so messed up and when i desperately need a lift. in one of the songs that we'll be singing, "The Rhythm of Life", the lyric says,
"When I started down the street last Sunday, feeling mighty low and kinda mean, suddenly a voice said,
'Go forth, neighbor! Spread the picture on a wider screen!'
And the voice said, 'Neighbor, there's a million reasons why you should be glad in all four seasons! Hit the road, neighbor, leave your worries and strive! Spread the religion of the rhythm of life.'
For the rhythm of life is a powerful beat, puts a tingle in your fingers and a tingle in your feet! Rhythm on the inside, rhythm on the street, and the rhythm of life is a powerful beat!
To feel the rhythm of life, to feel the powerful beat, to feel the tingle in your fingers, to feel the tingle in your feet!
Go and spread the gospel in Milwaukee; take a walkie-talkie to Rocky Ridge! All the way to Canton, then to Scranton, even tell it under the Manhattan Bridge.
You will make a new sensation, have a growing congregation, build a glowing operation herebelow! Like a pied Piper blowing, lead and keep the music flowing, keep the rhythm go, go, going; go go go!
Flip your wings and fly up high! Flip your wings and fly up high! Flip your wings and fly up high! Fly, fly, fly up high!
You can do it if you try! You can do it if you try! You can do it if you try! Try, try, try to fly!
Like a bird up in the sky! Like a bird up in the sky! Like a bird up in the sky! Fly, fly, fly!
To feel the rhythm of life, to feel the powerful beat, to feel the tingle in your fingers, to feel the tingle in your life! Life! Life!
Neighbor you've got the rhythm, rhythm, rhythm, rhythm of LIFE!"
Beautiful.
